Currently, only 14% of plastic packaging is recycled. Even in a world with major environmental challenges, traditional recycling methods are limited.
SABIC is helping make it possible to recycle more plastic than ever before. As part of a pioneering collaboration, we are accelerating the recycling of mixed plastic waste back to its original polymer.
Already the partnership has extended. SABIC partners in packaging are manufacturing with “closed loop” recycling where the materials can be converted back into the original high quality product.
