Hi All

Have anyone installed & used SP2 RC2 with mywireless yet ? Is there any issues that we should be aware of?

Regards

From the testing I've done the only issue to note is that the firewall is on by default under sp2 and it's quite restrictive.

Seems fine otherwise. If you're using the ethernet cable (pppoe) you may need to play around...

I installed the SP2 RC1 on my pc. It made my pc slower and some applications wouldn't function properly (eg. Word wouldn't open certain files) and other apps took long to start. Printing was also very slow.

When I uninstalled the service pack everything was fine again. I don't have MyWireless so I can't comment on that.

The firewall is restrictive, yes.

The firewall is restrictive, but it didn't take much to remove most its hinderences.
The worst part of the whole pack is that its stand on protection is similiar to OUTLOOK XP and 2003's flaws (for those that don't know, they do not give one the option to open executable attachments).
IN SP2, one is not able to open remote documents, such as a .MDB file, there are workarrounds for this, but nonetheless, its very annoying!
in regards to speed, we are dealing with MS, renowned or being rather hectic on hardware.
I expect each of their damn releases to require 64MB ram more
