Windows 10 laptop based hotspot, using 3G modem

So, not really sure which section of the forum this belongs in, but I am trying to set my Windows 10 laptop up as a wifi hotspot, sharing my Cell C 3G connection.

I tried this How to Geek

But the settings menu keeps saying, "we can't set up mobile hot sport".

Any ideas on how to fix this? My laptop's network adaptor claims to support network hosting.

It depends on the type of your modem connection.
Windows 10 has cut functionality of the RAS-type connection (dialup connection - USB emulated COM ports), possibly some NDIS types as well. You are lucky of getting stable connection with RAS modem, I haven't got any positive experience with it.

Donwgrade OS, see if works.
