Windows 10 launch - a mostly-successful mess

Maybe some issues have to do with pirate copies, and not many people are being honest about piracy. KMS activators, OEM imitation and other cracks can greatly be a cause. Plus many pirate copies on the internetz aren’t that clean either…

My computer has attempted 3 times to upgrade but just failed with error code 8020001. Googled it, and done sfc /scannow which did find errors but can't fix them, so downloaded what it said to do (windows6.1-KB947821-v4x64.msu) ran that..did not solve it. Pulled windows 10 down to usb stick from official source. It started to load and asked for reg key which I gave the one on the bottom of my notebook and comes up and says did not recognize it, it is an official win 7 one. Thought I would install from $Windows.~WS, at present it is checking for updates 45% done but after reading this article expect to bomb out soon. It is my last effort then will wait until MS sort this sh$t out or just keep using win 7.

I would never attempt an upgrade of Windows. :wtf:

It's a clean install or nothing for me.

I see no reason to downgrade from Windows 7.....

Despite all the issues, Microsoft reported that over 14 million devices were already running Windows 10 within the first two days after launch.

yikes...that is 47,851 TB at 3.5GB per update...... bugger me sideways

Did my multimedia pc...

Audio driver is installed and working according to Windows, but no sound. My Compro E900F have no driver support...

"A mostly successful mess" - pretty much describes the entire history of Windows.
