Windows 10 RAM requirements increased

Interesting that Windows 8.1 and 10 has such a low resource footprint. 10 runs better on my NetBook than 7 did.
 
4GBs is a good baseline. It's just that with Desktops and Laptops, RAM is pretty cheap again, so considering 8GBs really isn't going to break the bank.
I don't remember when prices for RAM decreased last time to substantiate this claim. Examples?

It scales down better than Windows 7 which quickly get stuck on large load. But with RAM increased, Windows 10 increases payload dynamically ('telemetry' comes to my mind), so with 4MB of RAM Windows 7 takes over by significant margin. And Windows 10 GUI is terrible slow. You have to wait a second to engage 'Start' button. Adding a fat finger GUI infection, not a pleasant experience for desktop user.
