Hehe. I've also just imaged the SSD with Acronis Backup Advanced. I know that no matter what happens I can be back where I was in a few minutes.
 
To be clear, it's only being released in a years time. This version is not for general consumption.
 
Here's the video from the San Francisco event yesterday. This was a tiny closed event to about 50 selected journalists, but the first ever public demo of Win10. Worth a watch to get the main messaging.

Ive got a VM ready and waiting on a SSD for it. If its decent Ill consider putting it on a physical machine. Would like to dual boot it though.

Ah crud... gets to a point in setup, then rolls back and removes itself with an error code.

Will try again later, else do a clean install of it rather than upgrade.

Honestly they should just throw a torrent online. There is going to be one anyway...
 
Installed and running. Was stuck in a black screen for about 5mins. Was having 100% hard disk usage until I disabled Super Fetch.

If Windows 7 and Windows 8 were to merge it would be this. It is extremely quick.

Now to reinstall application
 
New start menu is bit different but feel itsits a decent compromise between start screen and menu.
