I wish there was an option to down vote ideas in the windows feedback app.

Otherwise running build 10074 and everything is going smoothly.

Am running 10074 as well. Only real issue I've found so far is if you have multiple desktop windows and you're in CS:GO (I'll just assume any full screen application) and then if I minimise then it pretty much just freezes

I had the same problem, I found I post on the Microsoft forum where someone had resolved it by changing to US English and reboot, and then back to UK English and reboot. This worked for me.

Going to give this a try. I hope it works. I can't download the update that is supposed to fix this bug... been sitting on 0% like, forever :(

Early Windows 7 Beta builds were so stable. The RTM version was so polished. You could run Batman: Arkham Asylum when it was released at that time without any issues.

Ah those were the good days, I didn't go back to Windows XP after trying out Windows 7 Beta.

I can't find the link, but from what I recall the problem is actually to do with Cortana causing the freeze, by changing to USA language and keyboard and then back seems to cause Cortana to start working properly and stop the bug.

Whatever the reason or cause though, it worked for me.

Downloading the US Language Pack.... I downloaded the UK version of Windows 10 Build 10074, and I had the US version, build 10049 before upgrading. Maybe that is what causes the error?

Looks like I cannot jump to my desktop by clicking the little button at the end of the taskbar :( I can hover my mouse over it and see the desktop, but cant jump to it.

At some point I installed from the UK iso and now cortana doesn't work even if I set language & region to US. I also have a problem when an upgrade auto installs in that the keyboard reverts to a UK layout with @ & " keys swapped. Once I choose a US keyboard layout it's fine until the next release.

Mine updated to 10074 without any problems.

I installed the needed update, my start menu now shows up. Brought my laptop with me on campus to download and install the update.

EDIT: Looks like I am back to square one. I added my Microsoft account to my Windows 10 (these settings last worked when I was running Windows 10 Build 9926). The start button does work, but Cortana doesn't work - if I click the Cortana button, nothing happens...and after clicking the Cortana icon, my start menu also does not work :(

Glad to hear. Now go turn on automatic updates...

As far as I know, updates come automatically with the Windows 10 builds. I went to download on campus because of the super fast speed (turns out my updates were failing because of a slow unstable connection). The app store is working, I will test cortana out and see if that is working with this build.

10074 seems to be better than 10049 except for getting the display driver working in VB :erm:

please dont flame me

any chance i can still get on this preview wagon ? what do i need to do to get the latest build ?

seems its come along quite nicely and would i need to do a reinstall in any case so might as well go 10 until final release.

Download the ISO for your preferred language from here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-iso

You'll need to sign in with a Microsoft account (Hotmail or other), but you don't have to join the insider program, that's only required for interacting with others on the Windows 10 TP Forums. You can still give feedback using the Feedback app and you can hop in and out of the fast ring as you please. Once Windows 10 is launched, you'll likely be on the build that qualifies as the RTM by that time, so all that's required is changing the product key to change the license to a valid install.

not sure if anyone else is having this problem but the sign in button is greyed out on the download page for win 10

clicking any of the the available download links just re-direct back to the same page and you cant sign in
