Windows 10 Technical Preview - Insider Program

10158 was pushed in the fast track yesterday. 10130 was pushed today.

??

10130 has been out for weeks. It's even been on the slow ring since about the middle of June and on the fast ring in May sometime.

10158 was pushed out on the 29th, 10159 was pushed out yesterday.

Why not download 10159?

There are supposed to be many fixes in the new release.

Hmm, it's downloading 10159 now, it should've just skipped 10158, as it was a huge waste of time installing it, only to go to 10159 now...

where did you get this? latest build on site is 10130

Windows Update Fast Channel, if I recall the ISO's are the "stable" release?

Good point, someone at MS must have forgotten to pull 10158 yesterday. 10159 was a pretty slow update (the installation, not the download) but it does seem much more like the finished article, everything seems to be working well.

Damn waste of time and data and yes 10159 seems very polished.

Have since installed 10162.

Wow! It's fast!! It's immediately noticeable how much faster 10162 is than previous builds.

This is probably because they're not baking in all those heavy and resource-guzzling extra layers that earlier betas have for measurement, analysis, telemetry, etc.

Downloading now. A new build every day?!

Yeah, an Insider's dream. Three builds in four days.

Gabe Aul, Insider Ringmeister blog post: "Build 10162 is another great one. In fact, our testing and internal telemetry metrics show it has better reliability, performance, battery life, and compatibility than any Windows 10 Insider Preview build so far."

10162 will probably go to the Slow ring early next week, says Gabe.

I suspect I am going to abandon chrome for edge. And just when she was starting to shed weight.

What is memory footprint shortly after booting with this version?
On 130 there is more than 700MB and after opening/closing some Web pages it takes 1/1.1GB
