Windows 10 upgrade assistant stuck on 99% installing windows 10

Hi guys, I'm trying to install windows 10 on a windows 7 Laptop. The upgrade assistant is stuck on 99% installing. I stopped windows update and disabled my anti virus. It's still stuck on 99%. Anyone can help with this?

Try disabling firewall

1. Incompatible CPU.
2. Don't use UA. Mount ISO and run setup from ISO.
3. Mount ISO and run gatherosstate.exe from the image. It will generate a file genuinueticket.xml. Google how to use this file on the fresh install and activate online without following the entire upgrade process.

I disconnected from wifi when the upgrade assistant completed re downloading windows 10, and that solved the issue. Weird. Windows 10 finally completed its installation. Thanks guys

Insane, wasted 4GB download. It worked, good to hear, but it is not I would recommend for others.

On May 5, I switched to Telkom's uncapped promo and I've only used about 60GB so far. I think the re download was worth it
