Windows 10 users unable to download updates

Many Windows 10 users worldwide have been unable to connect to the Windows Update service for the past two days, BleepingComputer reports.

According the report, when affected users attempt to update their operating system, Windows displayed the following error report:

We couldn’t connect to the update service. We’ll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn’t work, make sure you’re connected to the Internet.​

Wtf is happening with the new comments moderation on these articles. Is is bordering on ridiculous. Somebody mentioned they had issues with their P10 Pro phone and I asked "what issues". The comment was removed by the moderators - like ok sorry mr comment police.

More like a vocal minority. I've been on Windows 10 Pro since the day it publicly released and it's been great.

I also think its purely because empty cans make the most noise. You'll always hear people complain like the world is ending because their explorer icon has a different shade of yellow this morning and Microsoft is launching a personal attack against them because the shade of yellow used was the same as the table their grandparents owned so they are offended. But you will never see people go out of their way to praise something that works.

My Windows has been working perfectly like it should since day one, I can't argue there has been some failed updates and so forth, but for the most parts its been excellent. Should I post a news article every time I open my windows explorer and it actually opens to compensate for the people who complain?

I've never had any of these issues I hear people complaining about. And I have 3 machines running Windows 10.

I have 55 at our CT office - 2 of them flat out refuse to install updates.
(Both direct and from wsus)

Same hardware and installed software apps (o365/SEP/2 inhouse apps)

Have also had random unlicensed issue pop up both with Windows and Office for no good reason but always after updates.

My work desktop and laptop and home machine have all been ok and I have tons of crap installed so go figure....

Multiple Windows users in the US and UK have been unable to download updates from Windows Update. But rather than the problem lying at Microsoft's end, the culprit appears to be various ISPs' domain name system (DNS) settings.

Ah, someone with real experience instead of OMG!! Microsoft is just the bestest ever!!

My win 10 laptop's Edge refuse to save settings, I forget the music player's name but some FLAC tags don't display yet every other program display them fine, and Office saves csv files as semicolon delimited instead of comma as specified in regional settings. Oh and Office unlicensed itself in the week..

The Edge not saving settings and mp3 tags have been reported since they first came out and haven't been fixed since, so maybe it's more Microsoft programmers are crap instead of Win 10..
