Microsoft has responded to the controversy over Copilot’s “for entertainment purposes only” disclaimer, telling PCMag that the wording is outdated and no longer reflects the AI’s current use.

A company spokesperson said the phrasing dates back to Copilot’s early days as a Bing-based search companion and has remained as legacy text.

The response comes after the disclaimer sparked wider scrutiny over Copilot’s reliability, prompting Microsoft to say the wording will be altered in an upcoming update to better reflect its evolving role.

Nothing wrong with Edge.
Since I went to Windows 11, Edge is all I use.
Before that it was Firefox.
Never used Internet Explorer.

In Edge and under Page Settings disable everything except background.
Under Appearance and Copilot, disable as you see fit.

Edge is essentially Chrome from what I understand.
Every now and then a Nag Screen appears, asking if you'd like to move to Chrome.
Never bothered to check how I can get ger rid of that Nag Screen, permanently.

Have never received anything for Chrome. Must be something else you installed. Only annoying thing with edge is everytime it updates it resets some of the preferences.
