I have two Windows 7 64 Bit PC's on which I work at the same time, both logged on to a domain. My data is on a folder on the server, and offline files are enabled on both PC's. The problem is that when I update a document on one PC, and try to access it on the other one, it still opens the old one, even after I manually select sync offline files. Any ideas?

how much data is it?
if its not that much (less than 2 GB) use dropbox with the lan sync turned on
advantage is that it gets backed up as well.

Have you tried manually syncing on PC 1? As far as I know Windows will only sync your offline files to the network when the user logs in or out.

ditto: dropbox is the best

Dropbox may be good but it's not what the OP was asking for.

indeed. OP asked how to fix but i heave yet to find a way to beat windows sync into working well. however as with any sync app there will be a few sec before the other copy is updated. dropbox uses bit level so it even works if you put a truecrypt Volume file in it and store your stuff in it :-). it is def faster than windows live mesh

Correct, Dropbox, SugarSync, none of them are an option. I was looking for a solution, not a work-about requiring external software/resources. Manually syncing the PC's still yields no results. Seems like a Windows 7 issue, because with Windows XP it worked fine. **** knows why, though.
