Ye, 7068 is the first build I've downloaded after the PDC ones. :O I don't even have the bandwidth for the beta. No local here. :(

But I've had a few freeze-ups. People say they notice the difference in speed from 7057 to 7068 though, there is apparently lots of debug code left in leaked builds for them to catch errors etc, should be removed for the RC builds so it might be that.

All versions of windows create boot partitions;)

Eh no I am not talking about the MBR. I am talking about one of the early W7 betas I tested physically creating a partition g a boot partition and then a second partition where W7 was installed.

I installed Windows versions upto W7 and that was the first time there were two partitions on a disk.

So these different versions you downloading, do they expire?

Yes, June 2010. But when MS release the OS, they will force an expiry on your beta copy. They usually make that forced expiry about 30 days after RTM date.

Is there any way I can get as recent version posted to me. I don' t have have the band with for a download.

Anyone in the cape ?

All these betas are not for the general public to download so they dont have all of us in mind when they release all these builds.

Apperently all Betas of windows 7 expire on the 1st of August

The Beta will stop working on August 1, 2009. To continue using your PC, please be prepared to reinstall a prior version of Windows or a subsequent release of Windows 7 before the expiration date. You won’t be able to upgrade from the Beta to the final retail version of Windows 7.

Guys these aren't beta builds anymore, in fact none are except the official beta. The rest are leaks from any code branch, at the moment RC which expires in March 2010.

You can do updates from any build to the next, but it might cause more problems than a fresh format.

And MS do send out updates for the official builds, but these are all leaks and MS aren't making little patches for internal use.

I know what you're talking about, the 200MB partition. Haven't installed anything since 7048 and it was still there.

Hi All

7068 torrent crawwwwwling at the moment. Build 7057 is less stable than 7000! Perhaps "less stable" is a bit harsh... it has introduced bugs that were not present in the 1st beta. I have reverted to the 7000 build. Is 7048 an improvement on 7000?

I am hearing good things about 7068... will wait and see. Anyone else's torrent crawling along slow slow slow slow slow! Grrrr.
