Windows 7 does not defrag

It start the analysis process then defrags up to 1.7 percent of the disk and stops. I've tried with my C and External drive.

Does anyone know if this is one of those ubiquitous windows problems or bugs?

Don't worry, defragging is done automatically and in the background. It's no longer something you have to do. Just keep 10% or more free space on your hard drive and you will see good performance.

You should try Auslogics as it's better than MyDefrag these days.

+1. I use Raxco Perfectdisk 11 on my own PC, but on my laptop and any other PC's I'm asked to help speed up, I install Degraggler because it's free... and it's very good, and lightweight
