Installed Win7 a couple of weeks ago on my Toshiba Satellite A200-1M8 notebook. It picked up all the drivers nicely except for 2 (PCI Memory Controller and Mass Storage Controller). However, am experiencing up to a minute of freezing at a time, during which there is limited functionality (i guess it's any HDD availability thats an issue, as movies, etc... will freeze) and then after this the system recovers without any further issues.
Until i get this sorted out, Win7 won't be my primary OS.
I have tried Toshiba's driver download site, but they haven't updated their Vista drivers in ages and no mention of Win7 specific drivers yet.
Highly doubt my next notebook will be a Toshiba due to the disappointing support!!!
[edit:]
P.S. Am still running XP on a 2nd partition on this notebook, so i have the option of going back to XP as long as there are still Win7 driver issues to sort out.
Try googling the hardware id for the 2 devices that it didn't install drivers for, you can find it under the details tab of the device properties in device manager. Oh and also run windows update, it tends to pickup missing drivers much better than vista did
