Windows 7 installation on a slave drive

I'm running Win 10 on my PC and I have another HDD slaved.

How do I install Win 7 onto the slave drive so that I can swop over to the slave HDD with Win 7 now installed, leaving the old Win 10 HDD to now be the slave ?

I know I should have studied this but there are so many confusing posts online that I'm just not sure what to do.

When you in the windows setup(partition) just select your second drive for installation

Depending on the reason you are wanting to run Windows 7, have you considered running it in a VM rather than a dual boot?

Safest way in your case without adding too many steps to the process.

Step 1) Burn a Windows 7 DVD
Step 2) Switch PC off
Step 3) Take power cable out of Win 10 HDD
Step 4) Boot from Win 7 DVD and run setup
Step 5) Install and configure Windows 7
Step 6) Once happy, plug back in Win 10 HDD.

To choose which OS you would like to boot from, simply use the BIOS boot menu and choose Win7/ or Win 10 HDD.
