Anyone else struggling with windows 7 suddenly not seeing any computers on the network and no other computers can see it?

Any other fix but a reload?

is it on the network or is it on 169.x.x.x ?, could always turn ip6 off and see if that works.

Not sure what you mean, it has been working 100%. Just by using network discovery.

How do i know which it is on? I tried giving each pc it's own ip but that failed as well.

Peon so has mine since i got the 7000 but it died tonight grrrrrr, read a lot of people suffering the same fate.

No it is fine i just mapped the share folders and it is working now.

Do not care if it cannot be seen just need my movies to play on my projector via my netbook so this will be fine.

Must be some bug or something.

Was just about to suggest that, the nod32 firewall is also starting to give me hassles regardless of where I set it to strict sharing or allow sharing :)

Oh its a bug in the system ,i have been trying to crack it , will keep you up to date when i do

No not for me adiel, as soon as rebooted with eset security gone my network was up.

It worked at first but that firewall on eset security is rubbish, i even turned it off and it still blocked my network.

only issue im having with win 7 is that i cant set my home network to home- it forces itself to public, maybe thats your issue.

I for one use ESET Smart Security v4, make sure that the Windows Firewall is off and switch ESET to Interactive Mode. All access in and out of my computer is kept tight, as you the user know exactly what's happening. Plus it doesn't seem that complicated to fix the issues with ESET if you know what you are doing :P.

The networking requires serious fixing imo, I had a severe problem which i already posted on another thread... got to a point where i just said fsck it and loaded XP... no more problems.
