Windows 7 & PC Games

Thanx. Will try that tonight.

Actually thinking about it now, I think I created the Folder in my "C:\" myself and unpacked all the files from the DVD into the folder (could have been after installing) I think the problem was it didnt install everything. Man it was a mission... plus I hated the game, only played about 45 min of it (and I bought the damn thing).

Luckily I only paid R69 for it :)

This didn't work!
I can use Google too hey!
I also renamed the one file (which kills the music in the game) and that didn't work either... damn it!

IS your board Vista/WIN7 ready? If not, then its somewaht a sound issue. There are more solutions regarding the failure of starting the multiplayer.exe. Google harder :D

Since RTM ALL games run fine with no start up errors.

i have a problem with battlefield 2.

about 5 or 10 mins into the game, it just freezes with a bbbbrrrzzzzzzz sound. have to reset.
sometimes it will happen within the first 30 seconds, and sometimes it does'nt happen at all, its very random.

I tried updating sound drivers, checked event viewer and no log of the actual error. gfx drivers 190.62

Have you tried another OS?

ya it works on vista, but windows 7 is co cool..lol

i tried the fix for cod 4 that was mentioned earlier, been in battlefield twice now and it has'nt crashed, so holding thumbs that it could be that.

For COD4 we had a similar bug with Vista.

The game would not run unless you plugged in a microphone into the mic port. Don't have to set it up or anything, just have it plugged in. Maybe Win 7 has the same mystery issue.

ok well bf2 worked fine for awhile and now it still crashes even when i thought the cod 4 fix worked.

i still have no clue now as to whats happening, it seems like there is no reason for it to be happening, it happens and then it does'nt, totally random

I have a COD 4 problem

I have the RC 1 version

My Resolution set to the highest I thinks it 168 by 1050 (as recommended)
The screen is fullsize on the desktop but if I go into COd 4 its half screen with black strips on the left andright side.

What can I do to fix this

You guys need to move onto the rtm version of windows 7.

Seriously.

Where can I find one of those?

I have managed to sort out my problem this morning.

You need to set your desktop and your GC driver to the same and then let the GC driver set your screen automatically.
