Windows 7 RC - Virtual memory

Hi All,

I have been battling with this and also tried searching the web without any luck. Recently Win7 comes up with a low memory warning. Further investigation shows that there is no page file (Virtual Memory) activated. When I activate it and choose "System managed", it will request that it restarts PC to take effect. Upon rebooting, when I get back to the option, it defaults back to no page file. My system is now plagued with low memory messages. Has anyone actually had this problem?
 
Why not just set it yourself, also how much free space does your c:\ have?

If you have no space and only one drive you are going to struggle as there is nothing for the pagefile to use. How much memory do you need, i have 4gb memory and i don't use a pagefile.
 
I tried setting the min & max size as well. It then defaults to no page file after restarting. I have 11Gigs of space free. My laptop has 1GIG of ram.
 
Did you go custom size, then put in 2000 and then 2000 then click set and make sure it is on the drive with 11gb's.

If that does not work then yikes i have no idea.
 
I can almost smell the malware to be honest. :p
