Windows 7 - what to get?

I have a laptop currently running on XP and want to upgrade it to Windows 7 (any windows 7). What is the best, and cheapest, way to do this? Do i have to buy a full Windows 7 license, or is there a cheaper upgrade pack of some sorts?

Doesn't matter if you only have 1Gig ram. Did it came out with XP? Will it handle Windows 7?

It should be fine specs wise.

You can try Esquire and see if they have cheaper prices than Firstshop or Rebel Tech.

I see Frontosa still sells 7 but only Pro. Over R2k ex VAT. Pretty much the same price as 8.1 and 10 Pro. They even still sell Vista .
