Windows 7 XP mode is awesome, just for running those XP apps. Virtualbox is more versatile and powerful, like you say, but it's not as simple and seamless. Not nearly. Although it does kinda suck that you have to have a VT processor.

All Athlons, Phenoms and Phenom2s have vt. It's only the cheap crappy intels that don't.

Intel have many more levels on its CPU family to cater for alot more people and price brackets, so it's not unforeseen that some will not have features of others. Some CPUs won't need VT for the environment they're intended for. At least Intel give you the option of a CPU without the stuff on it.

-1, that actually would get you laughed at in the AMD club. I own an Intel capable of VT but what if I was on a budget I reckon the E8XXX or Q9XXX processor won't be my first choice, then people are going to point at AMD with green envy.
