Windows 8.1 Update 1 with keyboard & mouse improvements launch date

All the whiners will be getting their start menu back in an update after this one, with live tiles included and modern apps running windowed

Does it mean we won't have to use Classic Start Menu any longer?

Yes, although Microsoft has said the Start Menu won't be in the first major update, but will be released in a small future update:

Windows 8.1 update 1 is rather lackluster. I've been running it a few weeks and tbh it's hardly noticeable. Update 2 should be far better, assuming it comes with the new start menu.

I see that the Win 8.1 - update 1 is almost 1GB in download ... :wtf: This does include a few other updates, e.g. security updates

It's a rollup as well, so it includes previous updates as well

It would be nice if I didnt need to use desktop mode for half of my apps, Im quite happy with the tiled interface.
