Windows 8 not detecting MTN 3G Huawei dongle

Running Windows 8 pro, tried to get my MTN 3G dongle working, plugged it in, can see usb device detected.
Then wait 7+ min but nothings happens.
Device manager - detecting it as HUAWEI MASS storage USB device - "Properties" - Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
 
Had to edit Class under registry, found Huawei in there and removed Upper filters and rebooted and it detected it.
