Windows Easy Transfer

Guys, was wondering if I could use Windows Easy Transfer to back up settings and files, to migrate from Windows 7 RC1 to the retail edition?

Or does the OS versions need to be exactly the same ie. RC1 to RC1 and Enterprise to Enterprise?

You can use Easy Transfer to upgrade from XP to 7 - I just did, with surprisingly good results. Moved 120GB, 2 users.
I've also just used it to move from 7 home premium RC to 7 professional.
