Windows exploit exposes critical infrastructure through lax SCADA security

LoL. Im not even gonna start... If you fill your pot with ****.... it is **** you will have for dinner. simple as that.

Im starting to think the only thing Windows is still good for is wrapping DirectX... which is not going to be forever thanks to WebGL.

LOLZ!

Its not only Siemens specific surely? Any SCADA is vulnerable....

I HOPE NOT

Congratulations on showing youself to be an ignorant anti-Windows fanboy, because (a) OS X had the same problem a while back and (b) WebGL supports up to OpenGL 2.0, which was all the rage in 2004. It's 2010 now, and the handful of developers who aren't using DirectX are using OpenGL 4.0. There are a plethora of reasons why DX is superior to OGL at this point, here's just one of them.

You DO realize the article you referred to compares DirectX 11 with OpenGL 3, while you refer to OpenGL 4.0 in your post? Several articles like http://news.cnet.com/8301-30685_3-20000277-264.html says the two are feature-wise on par with the release of OpenGL 4.0.

Oh, and Valve at least is incorporating OpenGL into their games now as well. http://www.opengl.org/news/comments/valve-source-engine-overhauled-to-carry-opengl/

OpenGL - Works on Windows, MacOS and Linux
DirectX - Works on Windows
