Might be a minor but good to know if possible.. Is there a way to bypass windows login screen if u forgotten the password on XP? A friend forgot his password and stuck on the login screen.... Well, he's not sure if it's a wrong pass but after trying to login desktop never shows instead always goes back to the pass dialog window, i then assumed this has to do with the wrong password..

In safe mode, try to logon as Administrator with a blank password, or try to force him to remember the password he put in when installing, that would be the administrator password.

Then .. once in, right click on my-computer, choose manage, choose local users and groups and reset hiz password.

I have a small rar file that you unzip and then burn on a disk.
You then boot up with this disk and it resets the admin pass.
The rar file is 2,62 Meg.
Tell me where to upload it to for you.

Would PM work?

what about hirens bootcd i think there is an option to delete passwords

At the logon screen, press Ctrl + Alt + Del, then while pressing that, press Del again. You should now be able to type in which username you wish to login as. Type Administrator as a username, and leave the password blank. If this works, you can reset the password for your friend through the Administrator account.

Hope this helps :)
