Windows Parallel ...

So i got my MacBook Air from USA, but forgot to ask for windows parallel pre-loaded.Do I need to buy the software or can i get it free of charge somewhere ?

One more question, is there some way i can import information from my Sony laptop to the MacBook ? More specifically my Outlook Express ...

Bootcamp is free and comes with OSX, parallels is $80 but once you've created your boot camp partition you can work from it in OSX.

outlook express should not be a problem you can use thunderbird to import your OE emais then export to a format that is easy to import with OSX mail too.

You need to buy Parallels - either online and DL it or locally.
You also need to buy a copy of Windows. You'll need a Copy of Windows.

Wine for Mac can run a few Windows apps natively but it's in the alpha stage I'd say.

Why not dump Windows entirely?

Ive given up on Parallels and VMFusion completely, If I need to run Windows, I use bootcamp. Works much better anyway and the macbook s fans don't sound like a Learjet taking off either.

Or just use Sun Virtualbox, free. Edit, just saw you got an Air, rather use Bootcamp, otherwise your mac will be slow as hell running Windows and OSX at the same time.

I use Fusion - it works very nicely. Ok, it's a Mac Pro, but it's a 2006 model.
