Windows PCs infected through big USB security flaw

Phoripie.N has been doing the rounds at my office. Irritating thing will basically convert all the files and folders on the memory stick to shortcuts which then infect the main PC. McAfee doesn't pick it up but Windows Defender does, unfortunately it doesn't fix (unhide) the files which needs to be done manually afterwards.

Easy to unhide the "system hidden files" permanently with a dos command, will see if I can find it again.

Edit: Here it I, run below in command prompt on the infected flash drive:

attrib -H -S *.* /S /D

Yeah thanks I know how to do it, just would be great if Windows Defender saved you the trouble.

See how the users get furious when IT blocks their USB ports
