Pity about the AMOLED screen. But I guess the over-saturation plays well with the Instagram crowd

Well AMOLED does make blacks look really black. Aren't pretty much all Samsungs AMOLED?


I think I like where Windows 8 is going, Nokia... not so sure. They can't compete not due to the hardware and software being crap but because they just don't make phones people WANT to have. Very much follow the pack kind of stuff. I think if they sort of looked at the design of the phone, what people feel and hold in their hands, and focused on making that as good as possible; they will be halfway back to being competitive.

I've had enough of the same old boring boxy phones, time for something new and interesting.

Nokia's doing very well with the Lumia, doubling sales every quarter, and although it's one of the better looking smartphones at the moment, I agree - Nokia could do much more. People forget; before Apple became the industry's darling, it was Nokia who invented the "cellphone as a fashion accessory" market. They just didn't sue everyone that used their phones for inspiration, so we forget it was them who did it.
