Hi Guys,

I would like to know what are your experiences with the Windows Phone OS?

Love it.
Does all I need except handle my calls automatically. Three Office365 Enterprise accounts, Skype, Lync, WhatsApp, VoIP, and twenty other apps. Fast. Stable. Intuitive. Lumia 1520.

I prefer WP to android and iOS.
I have a 1520 and its the best phone I have ever owned.

Used android for 5 years, great OS. Moved over to WP for a bit of a change and i am loving it. Everything i need i have (Whatsapp, line, FB, Gmail, Line, Cricinfo, tapatalk etc). The UI is really smooth and i very rarely have to reboot my phone. I like the live tiles, they work great esp with 8.1. Overall i am very happy with my move to WP. On a 920

Love my Windows Phone. Only problem is that some apps either come late our store or never (like SnapScan...like WTF Standard Bank??!!!)

A windows phone looks good, however, Samsung's come with the 2 free repair service which seems to edge it for me. Also, it only seems that the higher end Nokia (1520) contains a Micro SD slot, while the 925 doesn't.

Nokia Lumia 920 with Windows 8.1 Dev Preview.
Best phone I've ever owned/used/had.

Got an old (not entirely working) Surface RT.
Best tablet I've ever owned/used/worked with.

The downside to the Samsung's is that you have to live with their horrible build quality.
I upgraded from a Samsung and the Nokia's specifically are miles ahead in terms of build and overall quality.
Still the ADH is a very good warranty.

I have a Nokia 1320 with dev preview and Love it. I like the Windows OS more than android.

Apps wise I received a R250 voucher from Microsoft so I have not payed a single cent for apps and there is some great apps. :D

Like it much. Only hangup is no Absa app.

Ahhhhh FFS man, im upgrading in 2 months and had my eye on the Lumia 1520, the Absa app is sort of a must form me
I wanted to go Android until my work gave me a S4 so that i could write a manual for the clients, What a horrible phone, besides for the cheap build quality, the OS does not feel lightnings fast like my IOS7 Iphone5, they keyboard is not as responsive, the printscreen quick buttons sucks, when tilting the screen on some pages takes you back to the home screen, and pressing the farking home button accidentally is inevitable, the overall experience was just not good.
But i also can't go on with my iphone, its honestly n awesome phone, but this battery , and it so freaken small.
WP 8.1 seemed like the obvious next choice.
Now i am out of ideas.

HTC ONE

I was thinking LG G3 or maybe that curved one,
Are all the Android experiences the same?, i honestly do not like the OS i worked on with the S4, will the G3 for instance be any different?
I'm seriously starting to consider getting a BB Z30, apparently you can run any Android application on BB10, but moving to BB O_o
If Iphone 6 just decided to have a nice big battery, all of the other top smartphones these days has a 2800mAh+ battery, you would think Iphone would follow the example, considering the new and improved bigger screen as well, but noooooo, they think 1850 mAh will be sufficient. There is no way in hell im going to struggle with a poor battery for another 2 years.

i also dont enjoy samsungs user interface, which is why i rooted my Note2 and currently run cyanogemod.

for a good all round android experience together with good build quality u have a few options including the LG u talking off.
options are the Sony Z2 and the HTC one.. both excellent built quality and both unique android user interface..
z2 vs htc one - im learning on the z2, love the back glass finish.

btw op sorry for the hijack.

To be honest the only other phone than the Lumia that interested me was the LG G3, very decent phone that.
Do not go BB, seriously, I have a few of them in the office and they are absolutely horrible.

The HTC one has a smaller battery compared to the Z2, but both has a superior build quality compared to the Samsung. The Z2 also comes with some sort of wrist strap that looks interesting :-)
