Anyone received Windows Phone Tango update yet?

No not yet on Vodacom. I suspect sometime in July 2012 for Vodacom users.
"Quote from Nokia SA site:- The availability of this update may depend on your network service provider."

As usual all the world has their updates already, but the status on NOKIA SA website proclaims very proudly go and get your update!!!

When checking per country on the update availability, good old RSA show status: Awaiting Approval!!!

sorry guys, apparently that was not the tango update... it was 8112....

You could always use Nokia care suite to get your update.
MTN is available there, RM803_059P3D5_1600.3030.8773.12120_004
thats for a 710

but be warned, it only allows formatting (refurbishment), so everything is lost and cannot be backed up or restored.
But if you really want it, its there.

i eventually managed to update to Tango... using an HTC Mozart... I tried the force update method again after 8112... trust me there is no immediate advantage of Tango... so I wouldnt really rush to get it....
For anyone wanting to force update, try the following:
1. Switch to airplane mode in settings on phone
2. Connect to Zune software
3. Click on software update
4. Disconnect your internet connection after about 10 seconds (trial and error, you will probably need to do this a few times till you find the right timing) while phone still connected to Zune
5. After around 20 - 25 seconds (once again trial and error), connect the internet again. It seems to work best with network cable than wireless.
6. If you got the timings correct, it should tell you an update is available... if you get errors saying cannot connect to updates with an error code then you are pulling out the network too quick and if it says your phone is up to date then basically you are taking too long to disconnect the internet...

Let me know if you have tried and whether it works or not :)

@Dr@g0nic-The alternatives come with risks that are difficult to correct.Staying with the network pushed version has it's long term benefits. Patience as we were promised the update June/July 2012:)
