Windows Phone Tango update

MTN users should have the Tango update. I heard Vodacom should be out Tuesday/Wednesday (18 July)

I've got a Lumia 800 (UK Nokia variant) and a Lumia 710 and I'm keeping my eyes on http://www.nokia.com/global/support...ility-for-nokia-lumia-phones-in-south-africa/ for the 710's update and on http://www.nokia.com/global/support...ity-for-nokia-lumia-phones-in-united-kingdom/ for my 800's update.

I'm just surprised that my UK Nokia variant Lumia 800 has not received the update yet. I always thought that the Nokia direct versions of the phones got the updates before any of the networks.

At least Vodacom, who have been rather slow to update phone firmware in the past, seem to be releasing Windows Phone firmware quickly.

We have now reached 2012-07-19 and no Tango update from Vodacom,wonder what the holdup is :cry:

Vodacom is claiming its out, but I am still getting no updates.
 
The old proverb states " Seeing is believing " Vodacom.
 
Vodacom: "Our procurement team advised that there has been some changes to the update & therefore caused a delay."

Reference to Jannievanzyl posting - Vodacom stil waiting for Nokia to submit this update for testing. A bit disapointing but sure Nokia WP users will eventually see this update. Just not sure who to believe any longer.

So this is to say that MTN that never had the Lumia 800 on there deal mags in the first place, is releasing there update before VODACOM !!!!! Come on what a joke.....
 
Reminds me of the delay with the BB release of OS 7.1 with Wifi Hotspot feature, the story was at the end that the service books had to be updated form VD side, perhaps the same here with Wifi hotspot feature on the Lumia !!!! Vodacom had the cards then and I believe they have the cards now too... Shame VD Shame, your vodafone brothers in the UK have released according to plan, don't parent companies talk to each other ???????
 
I just reset the phone and plugged it into ZUNE with no SIM card inserted and it said "Update available". Where as I had plugged it in a day earlier with my MTN sim card and it kept saying no updates available.
