1. Gateway for multiple Sip devices. (eg. nokia,ata adaptors,other sip softphones)
2. Send text messages between sip clients.


This app is ideal for inter-branch calls where both are behind proxy/router with single
IP address. Minimum setup required. This program was written to help those business
owners, who wants a Voip solution, but nor prepared to pay an arm or leg for it.
Only internet calls with no PSTN support. All functions will only work if domain stays
unaltered.

Firstly, welcome to the people who have already registered and are using our free SIP service. However, as the user-list continues to grow, we've found that people generally ask the same questions regarding SIP and getting started.

This post is to answer some of those questions.

Is this service free?
Absolutely. Since we merely route the calls p2p and not allowing PSTN calls, we are able to offer you this service free of charge. The only costs which are involved is the cost of your own bandwidth. To clarify, both the hosting service and the SIP client are free.

Do you allow calls to other SIP providers?
Yes. Our system allows inbound and outbound calls to and from other SIP providers. However, not all SIP providers share this functionality.

Can the system handle STUN?
Yes. STUN is built into our program which you can download at http://www.rapidaccess.co.za/downloads/RapSip/Setup.exe

I get an error saying "Invalid user password". What should I do?
The password you created is case sensitive. Make sure you entered it exactly the same as when you created the account and try again. If it still does not work, send an email to [email protected] and a new password will be allocated to you.

What is the purpose of the gateway on RapSip softphone?
It serves as a mini pbx where multiple softphones and sip devices behind firewall or router with perm connection, can connect to the local IP instead of the domain. The gateway translates your local ip to sipdomain and handles the STUN and routing.

Can i transfer a call?
Yes, refer is allowed.

Can i use any softphone?
Most of the free softphones will work. X-Lite, NCH, 3CX,Phonelite and RapSip. Linux users can use Twinkle Sip Client or X-lite.

Will my Nokia connect through 3G?
Yes, E66 and E71 connects without a problem. Even connected a blackberry with blackvoib sip client.

did you try Skype2SIP.no-ip.org

they provide free Skype to SIP gateway
it intergates with most VOIP PBX and working with any SIP client

@diaahussein Currently Skype2SIP is offering the Gateway service FREE for limited time.
First of all they don't have their own domain, but make use of no-ip.
secondly you have to supply your skype username to a hotmail email address.

I don't think i trust this.
