I have the same issue, there was actually a hotfix for it, search on the MS updat site, but after installing, tried setting the gateway to the router address, tried a fixed dns server, same crap, still does it.
It's not hardware related, same rig never did it with XP.
The only fix I've found so far on wireless is rebooting.
Have you checked the Event Viewer? Administrative tools>event viewer..
Check the logs and see if there's anything there.
It could also be your antivirus/firewall software causing the crash and burn, I've seen a few times.
Run a spyware/malware/virus scan as well for safety sake, see if you pick something up.
Reset TCP/IP settings to default (just google for VISTA TCP IP RESET), see if it makes a difference.
If you changed/edited any values for Vista default networking, change it back to defaults.

One question to ask - do you people have UAC enabled or not?

The DHCP allocator has detected a DHCP server with IP address 192.168.0.1 on the same network as the interface with IP address 192.168.0.94. The allocator has disabled itself on the interface to avoid confusing DHCP clients.
The windows system event log when the wireless went belly up:
Seems my laptop is also a DHCP server (192.168.0.94) causing a conflict with the actual DHCP server (192.168.0.1), or am I wrong?
This is not the issue in my case. It seems like SP1 farked up the system. No SP1 atm after reinstall and system is working fine... letting it simmer before I give it back to its owner. Want to make completely sure...

I don't have SP1. Tried to install quite a few times, and it always failed.
