Windows Vista SP1

I think January 08 was their last ETA. what issues are you experiencing with vista?
 
Its a friends computer, and they say that some of their apps and games dont work.
And the compatibility of some things that are on their xp pc are giving problems when transferred to the Vista Laptop.

(the games are between 1-3yrs old I think)
 
If apps won't run, the apps need an update.
If games won't run, get the latest video drivers and game updates.

I have the beta version I think - it's an evaluation copy which expires in April 2008. Haven't tried it, installed it couldn't patch it and un-installed it :D
 
Also trying running some of the games and apps in compat mode. Right click the application, then properties and then select the compatibility mode and try if any one of them works.

And remember gfx drivers must be uptodate and if your using nvidia card use the latest beta not the whql. The whql are a month behind.

Also install all hotfixes and having driect x uptodate.
