Windows Vista uptime

Hiberntate can't count as a shutdown, in my professional opinion. It doesn't refresh or clear anything. It simply copies your RAM to disk at hibernate and then copies it back EXACTLY like it was, ie address-wise when you start it back up.

Yep, look, i dont know if this proggie keeps your history of uptime, as that is what i'm interested in. Guess i'll find out tomorrow arvo, after i've had my power cut.

Cool, so I didn't misinterpret your question :)

Let us know, I'd also like a record of uptimes.

Why would they need to shut down his PC to install ADSL?

Maybe Telkom tripped the switch? Or maybe the boss thought ADSL is a program that you use for high speed internet and needed to "reboot to apply changes"
