Hi all,
My problem is quite clear, when turning the PC on, it starts, show's a few specs (RAM etc), then a screen of Intel P4, and just stays. Do any of you know how to get past this?
Thanks in advance

Does it keep showing the Intel P4 screen? Check in your BIOS whether your boot device priority is set to:
1) CD
2) Hard drive
3) Floppy

This will work as well:
1) Hard drive
2) CD
3) Floppy

Now BIOS should appear when pressing delete correct? Because it isn't...

None are working..tried almost every non number/letter on the keyboard... :( There must be a way.

I managed to get something:
I took out the battery (something I read on net), and then tried...and while booting up, held delete and a simple screen came up...saying what has loading, and that setup is loading and that I can press F12 to boot from network...is this the bios screen because it is no blue and is loading forever?

I have waited for a few min and nothing has happened? Stupid question but should I put the battery back? Because then I can't get back to that screen if i do?

Preferrably reinsert the battery ;)

Okay, gonna sound really dumb...figured out that the computer was just very fussy about when I pressed it...so bat is back in and back at the same place..still just saying it is loading.

:o It just seemed very weird that the first time something happened while booting was when the bat was out lol, so assumed that it only would happen again if it was still out, but learned by my mistake. Anyway, any more help?? Going to have to take it to people if I can't figure it out. :(

Try resetting the BIOS with the bios reset jumper, or if you have an expensive motherboard there should be a bios rset button, just look near the battery.

I thought removing a Cmos battery reset the BIOS? No?
