Hi,
I have a WD 1TB HDD (inside my TViX media player) that I've always connected via USB in order to copy etc from/to it. I haven't had an issue.
Yesterday I plugged it into my PC and recieved a message 'USB device unrecgnoised' or something to that effect. I tried plugging it out and in, and eventually I could see the drive. But then I got 'Windows Write Fail Error' and couldn't copy/paste/delete or anything. Rebooted and I always get that error.
I tried it in another machine and it worked first time and copied about 800GB of data across. However, I saw at about 600GB it gives the same 'Windows Write Delay Error'.
What exactly is this?
