The British make some amazing clothing, pricey but may last as long as a life time. Once you've experienced that quality, the fit/comfort/durability/style you realize perhaps the price isn't too bad, you just need to stop being a modern consumer(ie buying relatively cheap throw away gear that needs to be constantly replaced) to appreciate it.

Yep have a hand woven woollen shirt from late 80's and still wearing it. Just collar threadbare

Must be some Sa shops with something of similar quality but more affordable, I'd say around R1.5k is the min you'll get decent one for unless you hit the jackpot and they are having a end of season mark down.
