Hi Guys

Can any of you recommend an ADSL router that will do bridge, and PPPOE simultaneously? I want to set the router to auth an account, and i want to be able to bridge at the same time from another machine... any ideas which routers would allow this?

Netgear DG834UK v3 or newer with latest firmware - only router I use and does this exactly :)

Cool, Now i just need find a dealer that does netgear here in Durbs... other than Axiz.

I wonder if the Billion BiPAC 7300G would do it? Thats more commonly available at the moment :)

Honestly Dunno :P Where's Mr billion support when u need him

We call This:PPPOE WITH PASSTHROUGH.

This allows Multiple PPP connections on remote hosts.

The new 7300RA, 7300GRA, 7300N, 7300GXL and more supprorts this Function.

i have a 7300RA and would like to know how i can set this up. I have been unable to find the specific setting. I also had to phone in to the call center to find out where i can download the latest firmware for the 7300RA.

To be honest i would not recommend billion after my experience with them.

Firmware version 1.06d supports this Protocol.Available from our ftp server and forwarded to youre mailbox

To change to PPPOE with passthrough go to:
Advanced>>Configiration>>Wan>>Wan Profile>>Change the protocol to PPPOE with passthrough

I can't believe you had a bad experience with the Billion Support desk, any time I have had to deal with them they have been great and nothing but helpful.
Maybe don't judge them after just one bad experience.
