Hi,

I'm sure many ppl have wanted to share an adsl connection. If I was to get a wireless adsl modem/router how many ppl would be able to connect and share the connection? (realisticly)

Also, what's the range I can expect from those wireless APs? I live in a complex with full title units (to give u an idea).

Each user would get their own isp account.

Thanks

Not enough range to cover a complex of that spread. You'd also be limited by the number of PPPOE connections that can be made per Modem, no expert, but remember reading 6-8 somewhere.

Throw an aerial on that wireless AP, and suddenly your range is far more do-able.

I would say about three flats in each direction, but it all depends on the access point. I suggest you ask the Wifi forum for help with this regard.
