Wireless ADSL

For me, it just popped up a box to say type in a passward twice when I tried connect from the laptop the first time. Do you know what kind of wireless card is in the friend's laptop and if it supports WPA?

Digital

Sometimes Windows takes a while to see that a network has changed the type of encryption that is used. Try waiting a while (10 mins) or even restarting the machines and then rescanning for wireless networks. It should then popup a box to ask you for key

Please use WEP so I can crack your connection in 10mins and suck your accounts dry. :D Knoppix is king

Well if you lived in my neighborhood, you wouldnt even have to waste 10mins to crack my connection, there are 3 unsecured WAPs showing as available in my list right now. People can be sooo naive! I'll bet ya'll would have a field day with those eh? :D

Hehe

Mmmmm - Me likes the access. Some dwaf I caught the other day. I dumped a couple of gigs of music onto his machine. No one can say I don't give back

Heehee, guess if they don't have security on their router, they have not learned the art of setting quotas - suks to be them :D.

digital, It should be under Encryption. If you only have an option for Open & Shared, then your device only support WEP. Else there will be WPA options (Radius, Shared Key, etc)
