Alaska Airlines have teamed up with Row 44 and announced that they are planning to test a satellite-based Internet service for their airlines and hope to offer it to their customers in 2008.

It won't be long and Mango Airlines will have onboard Wi-Fi. This was first announced in early 2010 so here's holding thumbs it comes through soon. A TechCentral article says "The service, to be provided by Internet provider WirelessG, will allow Mango passengers to surf the Web, check their e-mail and update their social networks at 35 000 feet above the ground."
