I installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 Pro on my HTPC last night. After installation I plugged in a USB Wireless stick and tried to connect to my home Wi-Fi network. It picks up the network, but it's not able to connect.
The Wi-Fi network is setup to use WPA2 authentication but when I try to connect from this PC using WPA2 it tells me the current configuration does not allow me to connect. I can however connect from another Windows 7 laptop to the network using WPA2, so it can't be an issue with the network setup.
If I then change the Wi-Fi network to use no security authentication, the HTPC connects without any problems. But of course I can’t leave it like this.
Is this a Windows 7 issue? I did check the USB wireless stick and it does support WPA2.
