Hi,

I need some help getting the right earbuds. My requirements:

  • I want to use them in the gym so they need to be able to withstand quite a bit of sweat
  • I need them to be as loud as possible. I have come to find a lot of earphones and buds are super soft compared to what I like
  • My price range is R2000-R2500

Any recommendations?

I ordered jaybird vista 1’s from Amazon, Vista 2’s tax plus shipping currently is $153.

Only use them for gym and no matter how much jumping or running around they’ve never fallen out once. Battery lasts about 2-3 weeks depending how often I’m at the gym before I need to charge the case.

Vistas are a solid option in your price range.

heard nothing but good things about them, almost to the point thinking it must be fake reviews.

don't actually have them, but also thinking of buying one.
Got some of these to use in the office. They are a lot better than I was expecting for the price. Did not feel the urge to upgrade to AirPods after using them.

so worth the price? as im definitely on the fence about buying these as compared to the Skullcandy wireless ink'd headband ones I have right now.

You should be able to pick up Samsung Buds 2 Pro for a good price due to the current S23 special.

To me they were worth the price. I have not listened to the Skullcandy ones so it would be difficult to recommend one over the other.

I think so. I have the galaxy pro buds and they are not great
arent Galaxy Buds pro handed out for free? if you take a contract you either get a Watch or Galaxy Pro buds.
maybe you should have picked the Watch

:p

where did you get your Anker headphones from? takealot is always out of stock on them.

I have gthe buds and the pro buds and the watch 5 pro,
Got it on Takealot those ones, they were pricey but seem good and very comfortable

Got these almost 2 weeks ago, haven't charged the case yet (although it is LARGE and not something you'd want in your jean pocket). Use them about 5 hours a day, although usually 1 at a time and at about 60% volume.

Case is on 67%, they arrived fully charged, Just under R1000 all in ( under $30 which is insane, through Amazon (heavily discounted).

Haven't made any calls using them and they don't have fancy customizations like ANC. In fact they don't have a smartphone app at all.

I use them, primarily, on my iPad, but have occasionally paired them to my Oneplus 7T Pro.

Rooted, so I have Viper4Android installed which allows significant tweaking options.

They sound extremely good at the price! But I feel they probably won't reach the volume levels OP is after (I have a pair of Sennheiser true wireless MTW-3, Jabra 65T, Oneplus Buds Z, Soundcore Liberty Pro 3's, Jaybird Bluebuds x2... as reference).

IPX7 rating so more than sweat proof, small form factor, they fit snuggly and I don't experience ear fatigue or bruising wearing them. They almost pass the sleep test too, but not quite.

All in all an amazingly competent package at the price point.

Read some of the Amazon reviews for reference. HIGHLY rated!
