Howzit ,

I'm looking for some advice,I want to get a pair of wireless headphones. Was looking at the Jabra Revo wireless , any of you have a pair of these? Do you have any other recommendations , will be mostly using it for the gym?

Thanks

There are many headphones threads, but it does not seem like anyone is too keen on bluetooth headphones given the price. I am also rather opting away from it because a Steelseries Wireless is 2800 ex. vat...

For gym purposes, I don't know...

I went for the Steelseries 9H. I am getting it tomorrow so I will keep you updated on how good it is. I decided against bluettooth rather.

Let us know. I had a testing pair, but could only do minimal tests due to the limited time that I had to play with them. It was the best between many headsets (gaming-related), although I will appreciate a long term user opinion. I am really interested in the H-wireless headset, though stock was an issue the last time I checked, otherwise I will be getting the 9H.

Yeah Like I said in the other thread...I am not wasting 3k on a pair of headphones. So the Wireless H is not for me.

So I received my Steelseries 9H today but I can't really put it on full blast in the office for obvious reasons...I am not making use of the software yet. I will do that at home.

Yeah, 3k is hectic, the 9H is basic within my allowable budget.

Initial impressions?

Sweat + headphones = ewww (and to pay R3k for it, even worse).
That said virgin active music sucks.

So the question is, if I see someone wearing those in the local VA do I say hi or not... :D
I have similar ones for gaming and the sound quality is great.

LOL.

I gym from home, I wish I could join VA.
Drove past there the other day when some ladies exercise session had finished, damn!!

The Steelseries 9H goes around R1700 pending on where you buy.

Sorry for the late reply...I had to rebuild my Computer from a Coolermaster Sniper case into an extremely small BitFenix Phenom Case last night...That was quite a task...

Initial impressions...Really good when it comes to noise cancellation, but it's still not as loud as I expected it to be. I does sound very mature though, so that's a thumbs up from me, and when I say that, I mean that it does not have a shst lot of treble like that SkullCandy crap that I used to have. That treble that gives you a headache after an hour, that treble that makes you feel like you would rather listen to the clutter in the office than listen to your music...that treble....

Anyone every use the Prestigeo brand headphones?

On further research on BT headphones the creatives I was going to buy are BT 2.1
Seems minimum I should be looking for is BT 3 or 4 with nfc.

I might be wrong, but AFAIK, NFC is only possible if the 2 NFC enabled devices are within close proximity of one another...as in 5 cm at most.

I would also recommend getting headphones with a mic attached. Personally, for me, Hangout, Skype and taking phone calls with my headphones is becoming the norm.

The NFC is normally just used for pairing and turning the headphones on in a cool way. BT3/4 are used for the sound transfer.
