Yeah, somehow i get a feeling one of 2 things will happen:
1. No one will reply, or
2. Lots of flaming will be done
Well a good start would be:
Wireless Access Providers’ Association of South Africa
But I never dealt with them, I don't know how good they are or whats the cost involved to get help from them. Even some wugs decides to associate them self with this organization.

Well all I can say is good luck, like ld13 said you'll need allot of capital. Its easy to have a few Access Points and share a adsl line, but ill asure you you'll fail that way. If you want to do it, do it the right way.

Okay but seriously, You need ALOT of capital and the neccessary licenses otherwise you lose all of your kit when ICASA decide to come and take it down.

I would suggest first to get two pieces of kit and experiment a bit to get the hang of it before jumping into the deep end.
Or join a WuG first - get some experience while you can.

from my house i talk about 5km to the high site on 5ghz throw netstreaming (the link to get the internet to the high site) i use mikrotik by the way... there i use an sector omni (2.4ghz) as an AP. at the client i install 133C routerboards, and the connect throw pppoe onto the internet. (in other case they have username and password for them that dont know)... what ells would you like to know????????????????????????????????????????

how will you provide internet access? eg what type of line and from who will you get your bandwidth from?
I'm assuming you have done a business plan, so how many clients do you plan on having before you get a dedicated support desk or will you have one from day one.
what sort of amps are you planning on using on your radios 1watt 2 maybe.. they quite good i hear?
what are you going to usage for your billing systems
what will your prices be like?
