Thanks for these. Can you "hard-code" a device (like a smart switch) to always connect to a certain Halo device?

Tip: if you're going to be doing painting, then take the opportunity to install a ceiling-to-floor wall conduit for your cables. Will be reorganising the lounge cables, to make it look a bit neater, it was neat, but with change from router to mesh had to relocate stuff, took the opportunity to replace everything with the flat 6 cables, but still thinking about how I want everything to look.

DId you grind out the channels?Tip: if you're going to be doing painting, then take the opportunity to install a ceiling-to-floor wall conduit for your cables.
All my cables from the TV to the devices in the unit run through here. There's another outlet behind the TV.

Router also sits behind the unit, so I can run cables from there to the rest of the house if I wanted to.
So the cabling and power cords sit behind the unit. And if your TV is wall mounted, you don't have cords dangling to the floor or any unsightly external conduits...

Yeah you'd have to. Once the channel was created, I also installed a PVC pipe with cutouts for the outlets, then plastered around it. This is to maintain the structural integrity of the wall, so it doesn't just crumble a few years later.DId you grind out the channels?

No idea but the wired backhaul is only 100 Mbps so seems equivalent to a Deco E4...any opinions on these:

Yeah so I effectively got a 3 pack for R1200.
That's good to know cause my current support from tenda is non-existant. Mine will all be wired backhaul for the 1GB goodness so shouldn't be an issue. Delivery is Friday! So what I found out from Vilo support is that, unlike TP-Link Deco, Vilo does not like mixing WiFi and wired backhaul. My 4th node was cabled and I've switched to WiFi. Made some other changes and will try cabled again soon.
Vilo support is excellent. They're hoping for some updates for our WiFi 5 systems soon.
What cables are you using. I like the flat cable from ugreen. Makes it easier to glue flat against an edge/wall etc.Yeah so I effectively got a 3 pack for R1200.
