Beanie, if you use Windows (and therefore the Wireless Zero Configuration service) to manage your wireless connection, then I won't hide the SSID. WZC sometimes creates problems if the SSID is disabled. It may frequently try and connect to the closest other SSID and that can mess with your connection since it's constantly searching for SSIDs. I hide my SSID but I use the wireless adapter's software to manage the wireless connections, not Windows. So I have WZC service disabled.

Hidden SSID's can easily be sniffed by hackers anyway. Proggies like Airmagnet and Airjack take care of that but it always helps if you don't advertise your AP.
