Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Cut the bottom 2, pulled the top 2, both in hospital under general. As others have said, it's just annoying.

I didn't like brushing hard around the wounds... and then got cavities in the teeth immediately next to it. Don't make the same mistake as me.

I only had three wisdom tooth, the fourth one doesnt want to come out.
The first one was removed on a chair under local anesthesia, was able to eat next day. swelling for 6 days, but bearable under painkillers.
The last two I got removed by a maxillofacial on a chair but I was put under by a anesthesiologist for the procedure. Didn't feel a thing. No swelling whatsoever.
The maxillofacial extracted the tooth and stitched the gums together, I think that's what made recovery a lot quicker.

Had the procedure on last Wednesday (2022-06-15) -- off the bat, my share of the bill= - co-payment + anesthetist personal rates + meds =+- R5400 ... pain wise well...I have a high threshold .... but they do keep everything nice and mallow .... this morning, first time I felt myself since the op....now just for the bruising to subside ... all in all, never ever ****en again.

If you don’t want to go through it again then you should have removed the other two while you were at it. Assuming you still have the other two.

Have to mention:

* The wisdom teeth in my mouth turned in on the other teeth and started pushing forward - I loved those buggers till they started disliking me...
I also had this. One 'wisdom tooth' rekt a molar (top right). Took all 4 wisdoms out while sleepies in hospital and the maxillofacial surgeon replanted the bottom left wisdom tooth where the top right rekt molar was. The molar lived for about 2 years before dying and had to be pulled eventually as well.

The worst part of the whole thing for me was the pain meds which nearly killed me. Synap forte (now banned).

Judging by this thread, I would bet some Forumites have lost all their wisdom.
